The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1979A is a remanufactured complete axle assembly built to rigorous quality standards for precision and reliability. This assembly is designed for Ford 10.5-inch ring gear applications with a 3.73 gear ratio and Dual Rear Wheels (DRW). It is specifically noted for 1999-2000 Ford F350 models, with a recommendation to check the tag numbers (S140C, S140E) for exact compatibility. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain performs a comprehensive inspection of all internal components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutches, and carrier. Critically, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and set to precise rolling torque specifications using inch-pound measurements, ensuring longevity and proper function. Backlash is carefully set for optimal gear lubrication and quiet operation.
