Remanufactured Complete Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1996A is a remanufactured complete axle assembly, rebuilt to high standards of precision and reliability. The assembly features a 3.21 gear ratio and is built for the Chrysler 8.25-inch differential. It is designed for 2000-2002 Dodge Dakota 2WD models without a sway bar. The unit is a 10-bolt round cover type and does not include Posi Traction. Please note that this assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts; these components must be sourced separately. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain thoroughly inspects all components for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal parts, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo a 100% inspection. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and set to the correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. The correct gear backlash is also established to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process for both internal and external parts, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. This rigorous process ensures that the remanufactured axle assembly meets OEM standards for quality and performance.
