The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2138 is a remanufactured complete axle assembly designed for the Dana 60 rear axle, specifically for 2001-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 models with a 3.55 ratio. Each axle assembly is meticulously rebuilt to exacting quality standards. Zumbrota Drivetrain performs a comprehensive inspection of all components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings and seals are replaced to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The gears are carefully inspected for proper tooth contact patterns and set to precise rolling torque specifications using inch-pound measurements. Backlash is also set correctly to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs an exclusive process for cleaning internal and external parts, which includes a hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning. This rigorous cleaning process ensures that housings are restored to OEM finish. Additionally, axle tubes are inspected and straightened to meet OEM specifications, and housings are tested for surface wear and cracks. This assembly includes the third member and features an open center section. It is built to order, with a lead time for shipping. A refundable core charge applies, which is returned upon receipt of the old, salvageable part. The product comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
