The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2003B-P is a remanufactured axle assembly engineered to meet the highest standards of precision and reliability for your 2000-2001 Dodge Ram 1500. This assembly is built around a Chrysler 9.25-inch ring gear and features a 3.55 gear ratio with a Posi Traction differential, specifically designed for 4x2 applications. The remanufacturing process involves a comprehensive inspection of all components. This includes verifying housing straightness, checking for cracks and surface wear, and a 100% inspection of internal parts like ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Zumbrota employs a meticulous setup procedure, establishing correct gear backlash for proper lubrication and quiet operation. The gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns, and rolling torque is precisely set using inch-pound measurements. The housings are also subjected to a proprietary hydro-blasting and rinsing process, restoring them to an OEM finish.
