The Zumbrota Drivetrain RMT45F-2 is a remanufactured FM145 manual transmission, designed for Ford Mustang GT models from 1999 to 2001 with a 4.6L engine and 5-speed gearbox. This transmission undergoes a rigorous three-step inspection process to ensure the highest quality standards. The process begins with a pre-inspection to identify any case cracks, excessive wear, or OEM-specific problems. The second step involves measuring component parts to verify they meet OEM specifications, while the third step ensures the unit is assembled to Zumbrota's exacting standards. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota replaces all seals and conducts comprehensive testing. Shaft straightness, gear wear, and synchronizers are meticulously checked against OEM specifications. To guarantee operational integrity, all transmissions are dyno-tested to assess performance, shiftability, and noise levels in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning, is applied to internal and external parts, setting a benchmark for manual transmission remanufacturing. Key specifications for this aluminum case transmission include an integral bell housing and electric speedometer with a magnetic drive type. It requires 4 quarts of Mercon-V transmission fluid and is not pre-filled with oil.
