The Zumbrota Drivetrain RMTM5R2F-8 is a remanufactured 5-speed manual transmission engineered for 1999-2008 Ford F-150 and F-250 trucks equipped with 6-cylinder engines and 2WD configurations. This transmission boasts an all-aluminum construction with an integral bell housing and a removable top cover for easier servicing. It features a two-bolt starter, and the shifter is positioned at the rear of the top cover, with the reverse switch located at the left front. Internally, it is equipped with a magnetic VSS and a reluctor wheel. This unit is not equipped with PTO covers. Zumbrota Drivetrain emphasizes rigorous quality control, with inspections conducted three times during the remanufacturing process. This includes a pre-inspection to identify core issues, a mid-process inspection to ensure component compliance with OEM specifications, and a final post-build inspection to meet strict standards. All internal parts undergo a 100% inspection, including checks for gear wear, mainshaft straightness, and synchronizer function. Every transmission is dyno tested through numerous real-life scenarios before shipment.
