The Zumbrota Drivetrain RTC243D-1 is a professionally remanufactured NP243 transfer case engineered for 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 models with electric shift. This unit is rebuilt to high standards, with expert craftsmen inspecting and testing internal components for wear, including cracks, stripped threads, shaft straightness, gear wear, and chain stretch. Zumbrota utilizes a Hydro-blast rinse and blasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning on all parts. The rebuild includes the 100% replacement of all bearings, seals, and viscous couplers. Each finished unit is thoroughly spun tested for shift-ability and noise. Specifications for this transfer case include an NV243 model, electric shift type, and a second-generation case. It features a round shift shaft with two flat spots, a 23-spline input shaft measuring 0.84 inches of exposed length, an external spline front output shaft, and a 32-spline rear output shaft.
