The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1405AE-P is a remanufactured axle assembly built to the highest standards of precision and reliability. This unit features a 3.42 gear ratio, a GM 7.5-inch ring gear, a 10-bolt cover, and 26-spline axles. It is equipped with G80 Posi-Traction for improved traction. During the remanufacturing process, each axle assembly undergoes a thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutches, and carrier, are fully inspected and tested. To ensure longevity and optimal performance, all bearings and seals are replaced, and the gears are meticulously set for proper tooth contact patterns and rolling torque, measured precisely in inch-pounds. Backlash is also correctly set for adequate gear lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota utilizes an advanced cleaning procedure that includes a hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting on both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-peening process.
