The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1652A is a remanufactured rear axle assembly built to high standards of precision and reliability. Each assembly is rigorously inspected for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are thoroughly inspected and tested. New bearings and seals are installed in every unit. Zumbrota ensures optimal performance by inspecting gears for proper tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, setting the gear backlash to factory specifications for lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are verified to meet OEM standards for straightness. The remanufacturing process includes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning. This specific axle assembly is designed for GM 8.5" rear ends, model years 1992-1999, typically found in GM 1500 SUVs. It features a 3.42 gear ratio, is configured for 4x4 vehicles, and utilizes 6-lug axles with a 10-bolt cover. It is an open differential type, without Posi Traction. The assembly has a fluid capacity of 2.1 quarts and does not come with fluid included. While the cover is included, mounting hardware is not.
