The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2029B is a remanufactured complete axle assembly engineered for 1998 and 1999 Ford F-150 trucks. This assembly features a 3.55 gear ratio, a 9.75-inch Ford ring gear, rear disc brakes, and a Posi Traction differential for improved performance and handling. Zumbrota Drivetrain rebuilds these axle assemblies to stringent quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. Each unit undergoes thorough inspection of all internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gear backlash is precisely set to guarantee proper lubrication and quiet operation, with rolling torque established using inch-pound measurements for setup and longevity. Construction details include inspection and straightening of axle tubes to OEM specifications, and testing of housings for surface wear and cracks.
