It boasts a 3.73 gear ratio, a robust 9.75-inch Ford ring gear, and a 7-lug axle pattern, all equipped with a Posi Traction limited-slip differential for enhanced traction. This assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. Zumbrota Drivetrain inspects all tubes to ensure they are straightened to OEM specifications and tests all housings for surface wear and cracks. Every internal component, including the ring and pinion, gears, clutches, and carrier, receives a 100% inspection. To guarantee longevity and performance, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The housings are then cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process, restoring them to an OEM finish, and correct rolling torque is established for precision setup.
