The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-10079C is a remanufactured rear axle assembly designed for 2019-2025 Ram 1500 trucks featuring the new body style, 6-lug wheels, and a 3.92 gear ratio. This assembly is built around a robust ZF 9.25-inch ring gear and incorporates a clutch-style Posi-traction differential, offering reliable performance without an electronic locking differential. Each Zumbrota axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process to ensure precision and reliability. This includes thorough inspection of the housing for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are meticulously inspected and tested. To guarantee longevity and proper setup, all bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are set to optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements. The backlash is precisely set for proper gear lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning process. This extensive cleaning method restores housings to an OEM finish, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. The assembly is sold as is and does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which may need to be transferred from the original unit or sourced separately.
