Remanufactured Rear Axle Assembly

Each assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear, ensuring a quality rebuild. All internal components, including the ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are subjected to comprehensive inspection and testing. To guarantee optimal performance and longevity, all bearings and seals are replaced. The gears are meticulously inspected for ideal tooth contact patterns and set to the correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements. Proper gear backlash is established to ensure adequate gear lubrication and quiet operation. Furthermore, axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on both internal and external parts. This is followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process, setting a benchmark for remanufactured axle assemblies. The assembly features a 3.42 gear ratio, an AAM 11.5-inch ring gear, and is designed for single rear wheels with Posi Traction. It specifically excludes Cab Chassis models and does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
