The FM68HD is a remanufactured torque converter designed for a range of Ford transmissions including the A4LD, 4R44E, 5R55E, 5R44E, 5R55W, and 5R55S. This unit offers a stall speed between 2550 and 2950 RPM, making it suitable for applications requiring robust performance. Key specifications for this torque converter include an 11-inch diameter, a 9.250-inch bolt circle, and 21 splines for secure engagement. It also features a 15-vane stator and 4 mount studs. The hub design is described as flats/stepped. It is compatible with various Ford transmission codes such as 97HFB, 97HFC, 1L2AC, 1LZA, 2L2BA, 4L2AC, AF, BAA, BAB, FEA, and HFC. This torque converter is listed for use in Ford Ranger vehicles from 1990 to 2011, for both RWD and 4WD models. However, it is explicitly noted that this Part # FM68HD does not fit a 2013 Ford Explorer XLT. It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
