The Zumbrota Drivetrain RTC711 is a remanufactured transfer case (PTU) built to restore optimal function to your vehicle's drivetrain. This unit is professionally rebuilt by Zumbrota Drivetrain's expert craftsmen, who focus on restoring each component to exacting standards. The remanufacturing process involves a rigorous inspection of cases and internal parts for common wear issues like cracks, stripped threads, gear wear, and chain stretch. Shaft straightness is also extensively tested. Following inspection, components undergo Zumbrota's exclusive Hydro-blast rinse and blasting procedure, then a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning. The rebuild includes the replacement of all bearings, seals, and the viscous coupler. Each completed transfer case is then thoroughly spun tested to verify shift-ability and ensure quiet operation.
