Remanufactured VP44 Fuel Injection Pump

The Bosch IPVR15X is a remanufactured VP44 fuel injection pump engineered for 1998.5-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models equipped with the 5.9L 24-Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. This pump is compatible with both automatic transmissions and the 5-speed manual transmission. The VP44 is an electronic rotary distributor pump that performs critical functions including producing high fuel pressure, accurately metering fuel for each injection cycle, distributing fuel to the correct cylinder at the precise time, and varying the injection timing relative to engine speed. It utilizes a cam ring with three plungers, a rotor, and an electronically controlled fueling solenoid valve to achieve these tasks. Issues with the internal transfer pump, plunger, or fueling valve can lead to reduced engine power. This remanufactured pump is tested to OEM new standards and comes with a 12-month warranty for the standard pump with reman electronics, or a 24-month warranty for the upgraded pump with all new electronics. Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) such as P0216, P1688, P1689, P0215, and P0251-P0260 may indicate a need to replace the VP44 pump. Important Note: 1998.5-2000 6-speed manual NON HO trucks need to call with their engine serial number to verify the correct pump. Additionally, tampering with the pump's wires can cause premature failure and will void the warranty. The use of performance chips that cause excessive RPMs can lead to overheating and pump seizure due to reduced fuel cooling capabilities.
