When upgrading your clutch, it is essential to also consider upgrading your clutch master cylinder. A key benefit of this upgrade is the elimination of the factory clutch delay valve, which is a one-way regulating valve that slows fluid return after releasing the clutch pedal. This delay is particularly noticeable during quick shifts, and removing it allows for faster clutch engagement and more immediate power delivery. This master cylinder features a 0.700" bore and is constructed from 6061 billet aluminum. The kit is plug-and-play and includes a -3AN stainless steel line, billet aluminum adapter and jam nut, billet aluminum reservoir and cap with a remote mount bracket, billet barb fittings, rubber hose, an extended and adjustable push rod with billet clevis, two banjo fittings with crush washers, and a jam nut tool. The design allows for adjustability in the master cylinder's position relative to the firewall and pedal, as well as the clevis on the push rod. This adjustability lets users fine-tune clutch engagement and disengagement points. However, it is crucial to check the overall throw to prevent overthrowing the clutch diaphragm, potentially requiring a clutch pedal stop or adjustments to the housing, push rod, or clevis.
