To use any computer-directed engine management system, knowing the throttle position is crucial. While electronic fuel injection (EFI) vehicles have a throttle position sensor (TPS) integrated into their throttle body, carbureted applications typically do not. The TCI 4L60E/4L80E Remote TPS with Bracket (SKU: 377450) addresses this by providing a remote-mounted TPS solution. This kit allows carbureted vehicles running aftermarket transmission controllers, such as the TCI EZ-TCU, to obtain the essential throttle position reference signal. The sensor can be mounted in a convenient remote location, offering flexibility in setup. This enables the use of popular TCI transmission management electronics in applications that would otherwise lack a TPS. The product includes a bracket for mounting the sensor. It is backed by a 12-month warranty. Please note that this kit does not include a flexplate, pressure switch, torque converter, transmission fluid, or transmission oil cooler. It is also not a low-drag component. The sensor is cable-actuated and adjustable to facilitate proper installation and function with your specific carburetor linkage.
