The EXEDY Hyper Single Series clutch is engineered for moderately modified cars. It features a purple anodized, forged aluminum cover that maintains reasonable pedal efforts. The pressure plate incorporates turbine-like, airflow-enhancing vanes for cooler operation and improved wear life under extreme conditions. This kit includes a chromoly steel flywheel (FH09) and typically comes with a 6-puck cerametallic facing and a spring center damper disc assembly. Some vehicles may offer a VF (Various Friction) disc. The chromoly flywheel is lighter than OEM, enhancing engine response and overall assembly lightness. The smaller, thinner disc design reduces inertia, facilitating quicker, easier shifting and minimizing wear on transmission synchros. With a higher clamp load and cerametallic friction facings, it offers approximately twice the holding torque of an OEM clutch and surpasses other single disc clutches.
