The K&N YA-6001 is a high-performance replacement air filter designed to deliver exceptional airflow while ensuring essential engine filtration for longevity. K&N states that fuel management modifications are typically not required for the performance gains achieved with this filter. The product is washable, reusable, pre-oiled, and ready for installation. This product is vehicle-specific. It is designed to fit the Yamaha R6 from 1999 to 2005 and the Yamaha R6S from 2006 to 2009. While K&N filters are generally praised for their performance, one user reported an issue with fitment on a 2005 R6, noting that the filter did not fit and that the gasket should not be used.
