Description

This kit includes two filters, part number FB486/20, designed for models such as the CL600, CL65 AMG, G65 AMG, S600, S650, S65 AMG, SL600, SL65 AMG, and various Maybach II variants. Constructed using BMC's "Full Moulding" system, these filters feature a durable, single-mold construction without welded joints, ensuring longevity. The filter material itself consists of multi-layered cotton gauze, lightly impregnated with a low-viscosity oil, and encased in an epoxy-coated alloy mesh. This combination provides enhanced protection against petrol fumes and oxidation while allowing for a greater volume of air to pass through compared to standard OEM paper filters. The filtration efficiency is rated down to 7 microns, surpassing the typical 10-micron standard of OEM filters. The rubber used in the filter system is long-lasting, durable, and offers optimal adhesion to various airbox shapes, ensuring a secure fit and preventing air leaks.
