It is designed for slide-out toppers. We use this material because slide toppers have a spring in them to allow the fabric to unravel when winds grab it and this spring allows the hardware to not be damaged. Our slide-out topper replacement awning fabric (also called bump outs) are made using a 18oz military grade coated vinyl, are UV/mildew resistant and double stitched with a marine grade thread.
