The Alpha Performance Replacement Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) is a high-performance upgrade for the 2009-2021 Nissan GT-R. This intercooler utilizes a durable Garrett core and features cast aluminum end tanks, crafted from A356 T6 Alloy Aluminum, designed for improved airflow and durability over traditional sheet metal designs. The integrated OEM location mounting brackets facilitate a straightforward installation, and custom silicone couplers are included to optimize airflow volume and velocity for the 3-inch inlet and outlet ports. This intercooler boasts a 75% increase in internal flow area compared to the stock unit and is engineered to efficiently support up to 1000 horsepower (approximately 800 whp). Its one-piece construction and smooth, precisely molded end tanks contribute to its OEM-like fit and finish, ensuring it integrates seamlessly without requiring any cutting or trimming. The intercooler core dimensions are 9 inches tall, 22 inches wide, and 4 inches thick. All AMS intercoolers are pressure tested to 50 psi after assembly to ensure reliability.
