The CURT 58240 is a non-powered taillight converter designed to adapt a 3-wire vehicle electrical system to a standard 2-wire trailer wiring setup. This converter splices directly into the vehicle's existing taillight wiring, offering a reliable, long-term solution for trailer connectivity when a custom wiring harness is not available. It features color-coded wires for simplified installation and does not require a heavy-duty flasher or direct battery connection.

This converter is intended for interior mounting within the vehicle and is not compatible with vehicles equipped with LED lights. It converts the vehicle's 3-wire system to a 2-wire system for trailer lights.
