The Oregon Performance Transmission 5EAT-HD2 reprogramming kit is engineered to enhance the performance and durability of Subaru's 5EAT automatic transmission in high-performance vehicles equipped with turbochargers or superchargers. This kit addresses common transmission issues by increasing line pressure and redesigning clutch regulator valves. It corrects TCC release problems and prevents the engine from stalling when the vehicle is in gear and stopped. The reprogrammed valves ensure that all shifting clutches achieve full line pressure, rather than a reduced regulating pressure, leading to shorter, firmer shifts that improve both performance and transmission longevity. The kit includes redesigned, drop-in clutch regulating valves. Installation of this kit requires careful handling of the valve-body assembly, as the solenoids are fragile and cannot be ordered separately. Extreme care must be taken to avoid applying pressure to the valve body with the solenoids in contact with a surface. If a solenoid is accidentally damaged, the only current solution is to purchase a new valve-body assembly from the dealer. It is also critical not to dip or soak the memory box attached to the valve body in solvent. Before installation, a thorough road test and system scan for codes are recommended. It is imperative to address any existing engine or transmission performance problems prior to installing this product. If the vehicle has been driven hard with added horsepower, the friction materials may already be damaged, necessitating a complete overhaul.
