The ACR ResQLink AIS Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is a technologically advanced beacon combining satellite and local transponders. It features Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality, Return Link Service (RLS) technology, and Near Field Communication (NFC) capability in one 406 MHz beacon. Designed for marine use, it pairs global and local rescue into one device, alerting both Coast Guard/Search and Rescue and AIS-equipped boats in the vicinity with precise location. NFC capability allows smartphone connectivity for beacon data, while RLS confirms distress message receipt. It's designed for PFD compatibility (semi-automatic activation upon inflation) or can be attached with an included webbing clip. It includes GNSS (GPS, Galileo, Glonass) positioning, 406 MHz satellite connectivity, 121.5 MHz homing signal, and both white visible and infrared strobes.
