The Retrax IX is a sleek, flush-mounted retractable tonneau cover made from industrial-grade aluminum slats with a UV and abrasion-resistant matte black powder coating. It features tough elastomeric hinges for flexibility and weather resistance. The cover retracts into an aluminum spiral canister at the bulkhead, exposing nearly all of the truck bed. It slides along clamp-on aluminum rails with three pre-set locking positions for partial bed coverage. Installation is simple, clamp-on, requiring no drilling, cutting, or trimming. Operation involves lowering the tailgate, actuating a hidden quick-release handle, and sliding the cover into the canister. When closed and the tailgate is locked, cargo is secured.
