Description

The Howards Cams 414345-10 is a high-performance retro-fit hydraulic roller camshaft engineered for Pontiac V8 engines from 1955 to 1981, specifically for displacements between 265 and 455 cubic inches. This camshaft utilizes a 4/7 swap firing order, which alters the firing pattern to generate more power and a distinctive choppy idle, often referred to as the "Saturday Night Special." Constructed with a high-grade race quality core, this camshaft is designed for street/strip applications and requires a good intake manifold, headers, and a torque converter with at least a 2500 RPM stall speed for optimal performance. The specifications include a .560/.560 inch lift with 1.50 rockers and a 110-degree lobe separation angle, with an optimal operating range between 2000 and 6200 RPM. This camshaft is built to deliver good low to mid-range torque and power. It is backed by a race warranty. The manufacturer recommends utilizing its new cam form to help customers select the perfect cam for their specific build.
