It functions by cutting the ignition when a pre-set RPM limit is reached, an approach favored over fuel cut methods that can lead to engine damage from excessively lean mixtures at high RPMs. This ignition cut strategy is a common practice in professional racing series such as F1 and WRC. This unit offers an adjustable RPM range from 2500 to 10,000 RPM, with increments of 500 RPM. It features two distinct limitation levels, allowing for customizable RPM ceilings. The Type B model is compatible with a wide array of engines, including specific Nissan (CA18, SR18, CG13/10DE, SR20, RB20, RB25, RB26, VQ20/25/30, VG30 - all turbo and N/A), Subaru (EJ20 - all engines), Mitsubishi (4G63, 4G93, 4G92, 6A12, 6A13, 6G72), Mazda (13B, 13B-REW, B6-ZE - turbo and N/A, 13BT), and Toyota (4AGE, 4AGZE, 4AFE, 2EET, 4EFTE, 3SGTE, 3SGE, 1ZZFE, 2ZZFE, 1GGTE, IJZGTE, 2JZGTE, 7MGTE) engine codes. Installation is recommended to be performed by an experienced mechanic due to the nature of the product.
