This ignition cut strategy is favored over fuel cut methods, which can risk engine damage in high-performance applications due to excessively lean fuel mixtures. The effectiveness of ignition cut is demonstrated by its use in demanding motorsport disciplines such as Formula 1 and World Rally Championship. This unit is fully adjustable, allowing users to set the rev limit between 2,500 and 10,000 RPM, with increments of 500 RPM. It also features the capability to establish two separate rev limit levels for varied performance scenarios. The Type B model is compatible with a broad range of engines from manufacturers including Nissan (CA18, SR18, CG13/10DE, SR20, RB20, RB25, RB26, VQ20/25/30, VG30 - all turbo and N/A), Subaru (EJ20, all engines), Mitsubishi (4G63, 4G93, 4G92, 6A12, 6A13, 6G72), Mazda (13B, 13B-REW, B6-ZE - turbo and N/A, 13BT), and Toyota (4AGE, 4AGZE, 4AFE, 2EET, 4EFTE, 3SGTE, 3SGE, 1ZZFE, 2ZZFE, 1GGTE, IJZGTE, 2JZGTE, 7MGTE). Installation should only be performed by an experienced mechanic due to the nature of integrating with the vehicle's ignition system. The product's design means that fuel is not cut, which can result in flames appearing from the exhaust as fuel is dumped. This ignition cut mechanism prevents the degradation of the air-fuel mixture associated with conventional fuel cut limiters, thereby offering superior engine protection at high revs.
