Reverse Intercooler Piping Kit

The Do88 Reverse Intercooler Piping Kit (RIP kit) is engineered to optimize airflow in turbocharged Volvo models from 1995-1998. By reversing the induction tubing route, this kit directs hot turbo air to the top of the intercooler and draws cool air from the bottom. This configuration significantly reduces the heat transferred to the intercooler's outlet air, as hot air naturally rises. Testing shows that this routing change results in an average reduction of 12 degrees Celsius in outlet air temperature measured at the throttle body inlet. Furthermore, the improved efficiency allows for an increase of approximately 3 pounds of boost without requiring any modifications to the vehicle's tuning. The kit is available with hoses in black, blue, or red to match your build aesthetics. This RIP kit is designed to work seamlessly with the Do88 upgraded high-flow intercooler. Installation requires specifying whether the kit will be used with the original throttle body or an upgraded 3-inch (76mm) throttle body, as this impacts the required connection diameter.
