The Stant 33428S is a premium engine coolant thermostat engineered to provide OE-equivalent fit, function, and design. Designed for longevity and improved performance over standard replacement parts, this unit features a thicker flange for added strength and a spring that is 50% stronger than standard alternatives. The thermostat utilizes an upgraded wax element and is factory calibrated to ensure accuracy regardless of pressure changes within the cooling system. For optimal performance and to prevent cooling system degradation, it is recommended to completely drain and flush the cooling system prior to installation. Additionally, inspect radiator hoses and the radiator cap for wear, as part of routine preventative maintenance to avoid potential overheating or system contamination. This thermostat serves as a direct replacement for various vehicle applications, matching the original equipment specifications.
