The CTS Turbo 144x21 Tapered Rifle Drilled Connecting Rods are designed as a direct replacement for MK6/B8 2.0T EA888 Gen 1 & 2 engines that utilize stock pistons. Each set of CTS Turbo connecting rods features rifle drilling as standard, a process that aids in lubrication. The big and small end bores are meticulously honed in-house using precision equipment to meet strict tolerances. Furthermore, every connecting rod is subjected to a rigorous quality control process, including dimensional verification with a CMM and weight matching to within +/- 1 gram. These rods are equipped with genuine ARP 2000 rod bolts for secure and dependable performance. Key specifications for these connecting rods include a 144mm center-to-center length, a 21mm wrist pin diameter, and a 21.90mm big end journal width. The wrist pin style is a tapered rod designed for 21mm pistons, and the big end journal diameter measures 50.60mm. The rod bolts are 3/8″ dimensions. These connecting rods are compatible with a wide range of Audi and Volkswagen models equipped with the 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 1 & 2 engines, specifically those with engine codes CCTA, CCZA, CCZB, CBF, CBFA, and CAEB. It is crucial to note that these rods require the use of factory 21mm wrist pin tapered pistons.
