Rifle Drilled I-Beam Connecting Rods

The CTS Turbo connecting rods are rifle drilled I-beam rods specifically engineered for VR6 engines, designed to be a direct drop-in replacement for stock or aftermarket pistons. These rods are built to handle increased turbocharger and boost applications while maintaining crucial engine reliability. Each connecting rod features rifle drilling as a standard practice, a feature not found in factory rod bearings, which are still usable with these rods. The honing process for both the big and small end bores is performed in-house using precision equipment to meet exacting tolerances. CTS Turbo implements a rigorous quality control process, utilizing a CMM for critical dimension measurements and ensuring all rods are weight-matched to within a +/- 1 gram tolerance for balanced performance. These connecting rods are equipped with genuine ARP 2000 rod bolts, known for their strength and reliability under high stress. The specifications include a 164mm center-to-center length, a 20mm wrist pin diameter with a non-tapered style, a 19.9mm big end journal width, and a 56.75mm big end journal diameter. The rod bolt dimensions are 5/16″. This product is designed to fit the following VR6 engine configurations: 2.8L 12V, 2.8L 24V, and 3.2L 24V.
