The Schrick 0268R1681-00 is a performance camshaft engineered for VR6 engines, specifically those with 6 cylinders and 2 valves, commonly found in 2.8-2.9L displacements. This camshaft offers a duration of 268°kw on both the intake and exhaust sides, with a duration of 230°kw measured at 1mm lift. The cam lobe lift is precisely set at 11.4mm for both intake and exhaust functions, resulting in a valve lift of 11.4mm without accounting for valve clearance. The hydraulic valve clearance is a key feature for smooth operation. Key timing events include intake opening at 20°kw and exhaust closing at 18°kw. When installing this Schrick camshaft, it is important to note that if Schrick valve springs are used, they must be underlaid with 1.00mm washers (part numbers 089500811/814).
