RING SET MOLY

The MAHLE Original 315-0220 is a set of Moly piston rings designed for performance applications. These rings feature a High Velocity Oxygen Fueled (HV385) thermal spray coating for improved wear resistance. The set is designed for an 88.5mm bore and includes rings with thicknesses of 1.0mm, 1.2mm, and 2.8mm.

These piston rings are engineered for high RPM and cylinder pressure environments, utilizing SAE 9254 high alloy steel for superior fatigue resistance and reduced breakage. The HV385 coating offers enhanced ring face wear without increasing cylinder bore wear, providing a balance for long service life in racing engines. The patented coating blend and application process provide strength comparable to heat treatments while maintaining scuff resistance against the cylinder wall.
