The AudioControl EPIC Series EPIC1500 is a high-power Class D monoblock amplifier engineered for robust bass output in a compact, thermally efficient chassis. It delivers 1500 watts RMS at a 1-ohm load, with additional power ratings of 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 1000 watts RMS at 2 ohms. The amplifier also features a 3000-watt RMS bridged output at 2 ohms. Its high-current design ensures stability and maximum power delivery. Key features include a variable low-pass filter (40 Hz to 180 Hz) and a variable subsonic filter (Off to 50 Hz), both with a 12 dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley slope, allowing for precise control over your audio signal. The EPICBoost™ feature offers a variable frequency bass boost from 30 Hz to 80 Hz with a gain of 0 to 12 dB, and the included ACR-E remote level control provides convenient on-the-fly adjustments. The amplifier also sports solid, direct-wire terminals with hex screws for secure connections, and accommodates 4-gauge power/ground wires and 8-gauge speaker wires. For protection, the EPIC1500 is equipped with a smart auto-reset protection circuit that includes multiple safeguards: Output Over-Current Protection (OCP), Input Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), Input Under-Voltage Protection (UVP), Output DC-Offset Protection (DCP), and Over-Temperature Protection (OTP). Additionally, it features an EPICENTER LINK for simplified integration with the AudioControl Epicenter Bass Restoration Processor, enhancing the overall bass experience.
