Road Race K-member

The UMI Performance 2407 Road Race K-member is engineered to reduce front-end weight by 20 lbs, enhancing the effectiveness of your existing horsepower for improved performance on the road race and auto-x track. Its robust construction includes strong dual tube elements, extra tubing, and critical area gusseting, all fabricated from CNC machined 3/16” thick mild steel. The K-member incorporates precision laser-cut components and North American raw materials, ensuring durability and strength. It is finished with a tough, long-lasting powder coat in your choice of red or black, and all welding is performed in-house by highly skilled technicians. The modular design allows for the use of stock springs and struts, or you can remove the spring pockets to convert to coil-overs. Factory clamshell and engine mounts bolt directly to the precision machined mounting pads, and both factory and aftermarket suspension components are located by strong, boxed mounting points. Lightening holes are CNC machined into the mounting plates, and the tubular construction provides increased clearance for aftermarket exhaust systems. Grade 10.9 flanged mounting bolts are included for secure installation. This K-member is designed to accept an LSX engine with the purchase of motor mount adapters (part #2409). However, when using an LSX engine with this UMI tubular K-member, factory LS A/C will require relocation. A specific A/C relocation kit from www.kwikperf.com is recommended. Additionally, a general fitment note indicates that this K-member may inhibit the use of low-mounting A/C compressors.
