The Rock Hard 4x4 Aluminum Oil Pan and Transmission Skid Plate is designed to protect the vulnerable engine oil pan and transmission of Jeep Wrangler JK 2/4DR models (2007-2017) from trail debris and obstacles. It is made from 1/4" thick aluminum, bent, formed, and hand welded into a protective shape. The design fits both 2007-2011 3.8L and 2012-2017 3.6L engines plus transmission. It features laser-cut access for oil filter changes and "rock dome" bolt head protectors. The skid plate system uses laser-cut and precision-bent drop brackets that mount to the frame, not the motor mount, to prevent engine and transmission vibration transfer to the chassis. It is specifically laser cut for long arm suspension clearance. The total weight is 32 lbs.
