The CHE Precision 4290 is a rocker trunnion kit designed to improve the reliability of LS and LT engines. It replaces the stock caged roller bearing assembly with a precision-machined trunnion and proprietary bushing material. This upgrade maintains the low-mass rotating weight of the stock LS rocker design.

The kit is engineered for high RPM applications and is compatible with LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LS9, GEN5 LT1, and LT4 engines. It aims to enhance rocker arm life, especially when increased valve spring pressures and valve lift are present.

The CHE Precision 4290 is a high-performance rocker trunnion upgrade kit developed in collaboration with engine builder Kurt Urban, specifically for LS and LT series engines. This kit addresses the limitations of factory LS rocker arms, which, while lightweight, can struggle with increased valve spring pressures and higher valve lift common in performance applications. The primary function of this kit is to enhance rocker arm reliability and longevity. Engineered with precision, the 4290 kit replaces the stock caged roller bearing assembly with a custom-machined trunnion and CHE's proprietary bushing material. This design approach is crucial for maintaining the low-mass rotating weight characteristic of the stock LS rocker arms. By optimizing the trunnion and bushing interface, the kit provides superior durability, making it suitable for high-RPM LS race engines and demanding applications. Compatibility is extensive, covering a wide range of GM LS and LT platforms, including LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LS9, and the GEN5 LT1 and LT4 engines. The kit includes 16 rocker arms, trunnions, and the necessary proprietary bushing material to convert all rocker arms. Installation involves replacing the factory bearings with the new trunnion and bushing components.
