These springs provide a lower center of gravity and increased spring rates, which effectively reduce body roll. Constructed from premium high tensile chrome silicon steel in the USA, these springs are built for resilience against sagging and failure. Each spring features a signature red powder-coated finish for added corrosion resistance. The dual-rate design operates as a single linear spring under normal loaded driving conditions, balancing sporty performance with street comfort. APR states that extensive track and street testing resulted in a system that provides a comfortable experience without constant bottoming out or harshness. Specifications vary based on vehicle model and damper type (DCC or Non-DCC). For example, on a US 2018 MK7.5 GTI (DCC), the front springs offer a 22mm reduction in center of wheel to fender height and a 50% increase in spring rate (to 323 lbs/in), while the rear springs provide a 37mm reduction and a 60% increase (to 362 lbs/in).
