Description

Type R - Stand Alone Remote. This system is designed for separate drive system mounting with its own cable and mounting kit. The remote drive unit can be installed in any convenient location, requiring an additional steering cable and connection kit. Connection kits are available for Mercruiser, Volvo Penta sterndrive engines, outboard engines, and a universal kit for inboard engines. The drive is mounted away from engine heat and vibrations, connected to the engine steering system via an interconnect cable and simple mounting kits. It offers a low-cost solution without needing hydraulic steering, easy and discreet installation, time-saving rudder feedback options, and safe manual override. Compatible with all major autopilot brand electronics.
