Overview

The Fisch Racing Rotary to CD009 Adapter System is designed to mate Mazda Rotary engines to a Nissan CD009/JK transmission. It features precision CNC machining for a perfect fit and alignment, and includes a billet chromoly flywheel that is lightweight for optimal performance. The system provides pass-throughs for easy access to the clutch line and bleeder.

It facilitates the integration of the durable and smooth-shifting Nissan CD009 transmission into RX7 builds, addressing potential transmission failures and providing enhanced control. The adapter system also incorporates pass-throughs, allowing for convenient access to the clutch line and bleeder. Fisch Racing Tech offers various clutch and flywheel options to match specific horsepower requirements. The bellhousing is constructed from cast aluminum with machined surfaces, and the flywheel is made of billet chromoly. The transmission length with the adapter is 727mm (28.62"), which is very close to the OEM transmission length of 725mm (28.55"). Installation considerations include the requirement of an Rx-8 starter (13 tooth) for the bellhousing and flywheel combo. For RX7-FC models, note that their smaller transmission tunnels compared to FD models will necessitate more fabrication work. Additionally, a 13/16" master cylinder is required when using the ST-215 clutch. The included components are comprehensive, featuring a Fisch Cast Bellhousing (pre-assembled with Tilton HRB, Goodridge lines, Fisch pass-throughs, integral bleeder, and cover plate), a Fisch Billet Chromoly flywheel, input shaft and transmission case cutting guides, bellhousing bolts, ARP flywheel bolts, input shaft bearing spacers, a pilot bearing, NISSAN OEM input shaft seal and bellhousing gasket, and an Energy Suspension transmission mount.
