Overview

The EMP 300-00530 is a distributor rotor designed for marine inboard ignition tune-ups on GM-based engines. It is a wear item that mounts inside the distributor cap and directs high-voltage current from the coil to each spark plug.

This rotor is a direct replacement for part number 18-5403 and is compatible with GM 3.8L 6-cylinder engines using distributor No. IBM-7014A, as well as 8-cylinder 305, 350, and 454 cid engines using distributor No. IBM-7011 or IBM-7013. It is recommended to replace the rotor along with other tune-up components like the contact set, condenser, and distributor cap for optimal performance.
