The Royal Purple 06040 is a synthetic SAE 40 engine oil designed for high-performance applications. It combines premium synthetic base oils with proprietary additive technologies to exceed the protection and performance requirements of modern engines, including those with smaller displacements, turbochargers, gasoline direct injection (GDI), and start/stop systems.

This engine oil is formulated to address the increased wear and low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) phenomena common in modern GDI engines.
