Overview

The Rancho RS5000X Gas Strut is a front-position strut designed for factory height vehicles. It features progressive engagement valving and a low-friction, self-lubricating seal. The twin-tube, gas-pressurized design minimizes foaming and provides a mild boost to the vehicle's spring rate. It has a 2-1/4-inch diameter shock body for increased fluid capacity and cooler operation.

The Rancho RS5000X Gas Strut (RS55845) is engineered to enhance vehicle handling and performance both on and off-road. This front strut utilizes Rancho's patented Progressive Engagement Valving, which allows for early fluid flow to minimize harsh initial impacts and control motion progressively. At lower speeds, an eccentric disc in the valve shim stacks engages the valving at lower frequencies, helping to manage motion. The twin-tube, gas-pressurized design operates at 150 PSI, which helps prevent air-to-oil mixture, reduces shock fade, and offers a mild boost to the vehicle's spring rate. The 2-1/4-inch diameter shock body increases fluid capacity, allowing the unit to run cooler and providing better vehicle control across varying speeds and terrains. Its all-weather fluid allows it to withstand temperatures from -40 to 248 degrees Fahrenheit. All necessary washers, bushings, and nuts are included. It comes with a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty against defects and premature failure. Compatibility includes: 2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2019-2022 GMC Sierra 1500, and their respective LTD/Limited models for the front position at factory ride height (0" lift). It specifically excludes AT4, AT4X, and Denali models. It fits both 4WD and 2WD models at factory ride height.
