The Rancho RS5000X is a gas-charged shock absorber designed to improve on- and off-road handling and performance. It features Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology, including a unique rebound valving system and an advanced compression phase.

The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber is engineered with Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology, which combines an innovative rebound valving system with advanced compression control for improved overall handling and performance on and off-road. Constructed for durability, the RS5000X features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, double-welded loops at stress areas, and a 35mm sintered iron piston for enhanced structural integrity. Its large twin-tube body is filled with an all-weather fluid, allowing for cooler operation, increased vehicle control, and the ability to withstand internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F. A fluon-banded piston enhances responsiveness to changing road conditions, contributing to an overall smoother ride, while a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help absorb harshness. To combat damping performance fade and foaming, this shock absorber is nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI. A Compression Control Valve is custom-tuned for each vehicle to regulate fluid transfer, absorbing impacts without disc flutter and maintaining shock motion control. The low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil for quicker rebound and smoother compression, and the application-specific piston provides heightened control of shock motion. The RS5000X comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
