Overview

The Rancho RS9000XL is a suspension shock absorber designed for on- and off-road use, as well as towing. It features nine adjustable damping levels to customize ride firmness. The shock absorber is constructed with a durable 18mm nitro-carburized piston rod, double-welded loops, and a 1.25-inch sintered iron piston.

The Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shock absorber is engineered to provide customized damping control with its nine-position tuning technology, allowing adjustments from very soft to very firm. This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of on-road and off-road driving conditions, including demanding towing applications. Constructed with a large 2.75-inch diameter tri-tube body, the RS9000XL is designed to dissipate heat more effectively, ensuring consistent performance and enhanced durability. It features an 18mm diameter chromed piston rod and polyurethane bushings that contribute to improved shock performance and longevity. The shock absorber comes with factory hardware, including necessary washers, bushings, and nuts, though factory shock mounting bolts are reused for installation. This shock absorber is compatible with a variety of vehicles, including multiple years of the Dodge Dakota and Durango, and numerous Ford Bronco, F-100, F-150, F-250, and F-350 models. Specific fitments include 4WD and RWD configurations for many F-Series trucks, as well as front positions for the Bronco and Dakota/Durango. Rancho provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty for qualifying RS9000XL shock absorbers, protecting against defects in materials or workmanship. However, this warranty excludes finish, commercial or racing use, and products installed on non-privately owned vehicles. Extended length and coil-over versions of the RS9000XL carry a 90-Day Limited Warranty.
