RSX 4-2-1 Tri-Y Race Header

Utilizing a proven 4-2-1 Tri-Y design, this header incorporates smooth slip-fit merge transitions to optimize exhaust flow and boost the output of the Honda K engine. Power gains are typically observed across the entire power band, not just at high RPMs. Constructed from raw 409 series steel, this header offers a cost-effective alternative to premium stainless steel headers, with no compromise on performance or fitment. K-Tuned maintains a high standard of quality, similar to their stainless steel offerings, by utilizing slightly thicker gauge tubing for better weld penetration and added strength. The header features stepped piping, starting with 44mm primaries, progressing to 48mm, then 50mm secondaries, and culminating in a 64mm (2.5-inch) exit. The CNC-cut 3/8-inch thick flanges are double-welded and ported for optimal flow at both entry and exit points. This race header directly replaces the OEM two-piece design and eliminates the catalytic converter. It comes with a short 2.5-inch test pipe that includes a defouler for the secondary O2 sensor. K-Tuned also notes plans for a future catalytic converter option. The header is designed for direct bolt-on installation on 2002-2006 Acura RSX Type-S models. It will also fit RSX Premium/Base models and the EP3 with a Type S exhaust, provided the vehicle is equipped with a K20 engine. K-Tuned emphasizes that while the subframe and sway bar on the RSX presented some fitment challenges during development, the final fitment allows the secondary tubing to pass through with ample clearance for engine movement. The raw steel finish allows for customization through high-heat coating or painting for rust resistance, or it can be left as is to develop a natural patina over time. This header is best suited for simpler street cars where function is the primary concern over aesthetics.
