The Racetech RT8119HR is an ultra-lightweight racing seat crafted from a premium carbon fiber shell, engineered specifically for the demands of drag racing. By utilizing advanced energy-absorbing foam, the seat provides optimized head restraint, shoulder, and rib support while maintaining a secure driver fit. Its design includes large harness guides and provisions for up to 7-point harnesses with reverse submarine belts, ensuring compliance with NHRA technical regulations for classes including Pro Mod, Pro Boost, Pro Nitrous, and Factory Stock Showdown. This seat is back-mount capable, which increases structural integrity and chassis feedback. It features parallel sides and flush mounting bosses to facilitate installation, with Racetech offering specific steel or aluminum side mount brackets and various alloy back-mounting brackets and roll-cage clamps to complete the setup. The shell also includes air ducting to vent the driver's lower back for improved comfort during long sessions. The RT8119HR is available in three distinct sizes—Standard, Wide, and Wide & Tall—to accommodate different driver dimensions. The unit features a black fire-retardant fabric cover with perforated leather wear patches. Please note that these seats are intended for competition use and are not FIA-homologated. Mounting requires the use of compatible brackets, and users should select the correct roll-cage tube diameter when purchasing the optional back-mount clamps.
